Vitality Home Workouts

Whilst our gyms and community centres are temporarily closed to the public, we want to ensure you that the Council remains committed to supporting and protecting the health and well-being of Lisburn & Castlereagh residents and Vitality members.

Exercise is important to so many of us and whilst we can’t be there in person to take you through our fitness classes, we have recorded a range of home workouts for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you are a Vitality member or not, staying active throughout this uncertain time can not only continue to improve your overall health and fitness, reducing your risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes, but it is also important to help to reduce feelings of anxiety, depression and prevent other mental health problems.

The videos below include a variety of high and low impact exercises, demonstrations and stretches to boost your mental and physical well-being.

Some top tips for working out at home!

  • Try and stick to a schedule of getting up and moving at the same time everyday
  • Make sure you have a cleared area and enough space for your workout before you begin
  • Take on plenty of water
  • Include a warm up and cool down for each session
