National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is a professional lifeguard qualification recognised all over the world and is the perfect qualification for anyone wanting to become a lifeguard here at home or abroad in the likes of Camp America. 

Lagan Valley LeisurePlex runs multiple NPLQ courses throughout the year over a six day course so why not take the first step and enroll in a Lifeguard Training Course at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex, Lisburn?

The RLSS UK NPLQ is the essential Professional Qualification for Lifeguards by Pool Operators in the UK and can also gain students extra points for University as a professional Qualification.

Lifeguard Course Pre-Requisites  

Every candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16-years-old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:

  • Jump/dive into deep water
  • Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
  • Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
  • Tread water for 30 seconds
  • Surface dive to the floor of the pool
  • Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

Our next NPLQ course will take place at the below times:

  • Sun 8th Feb  - 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Mon 9th Feb - 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Tues 10th Feb – 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Wed 11th Feb  - 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Thurs 12th Feb – 9.00am - 6.00pm
  • Fri 13th Feb – 8.30am - 12.30pm – Assessment date

The course requires full attendance and costs £250 per person. This fee is non-refundable.  

Full attendance is required so please ensure that you are available to attend all sessions and that you meet the course prerequisites before making payment. 

There are limited spaces on each course and places will be offered first come, first served.
