Summer in the City

For the ultimate summer of fun and excitement check out our 'Summer in the City' 2025 programme available across the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area. We have a range of summer activity schemes, sports camps and activity courses ​to make sure your little rascals are well entertained throughout July and August.

Hard 2 Guard Camps

Delivered by Phoenix Basketball Club! Get ready for an epic summer on the court with Hard 2 Guard basketball camps! Our camps are back and better than ever, offering age-appropriate groups, skill sessions and competitions led by our expert coaches to help your child level up their game.

Swim Camp


The camp features a programme of children’s lessons, run over 5 consecutive days from Monday14th July – Friday 22nd August. There are also adult lessons available. 


The programme also offers a Saturday Swim Camp, running every Saturday from 19th July to 23rd August.

Ice Skating Lessons


If you are looking to take up a cool new hobby or just want to build your confidence on the ice, then look no further than our Summer Learn to Skate programme at Dundoanld International Ice Bowl.
Courses runs over a 5 day period (Monday- Friday) 


There are two classes on each course:

  • 5 -11 years

  • 12+ years (including adults)

Disability Hub Sessions

This FREE camp is designed for children with mild to moderate learning, physical, or sensory disabilities who have a passion for sports and physical activities.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

As this is primarily a sport and physical activity summer camp, participants should have an interest in this. 1:1 care will not be provided so children must be able to attend independently or have a family member/carer to assist.
