Disability Friendly Sessions Disability Friendly Sessions

The Pan Disability & Autism Friendly Swimming sessions are aimed at families with members who are disabled or on the Autistic Spectrum and run every Tuesday.

The sessions provide participants and their families with an hour of fun in the Leisure Pool.  The sessions include fun floats, balls and rings for extra enjoyment, and all within a controlled and supervised environment. 

Sessions are available to Buddy Card holders. For further information or to apply for a Buddy Card please contact Reception on 02892 672121 or email leisureplex@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk

Places must be booked online.

Booking opens 7 days in advance at 7.00am. These sessions are well attended and spaces fill very quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the temperature of the 25m pool? The 25m pool is kept at a temperate of 29.5°C. 
  • Are you allowed to use the Leisure Pool or 25M Pool if you have a cast on your arm or wrist? No, the general advice for people wearing casts would be to avoid swimming altogether and other activities that would cause the cast to get wet. 
  • Can I use the Leisure Pool during my 25m pool swim? No, these are seperate sessions. 
  • Is it a quieter session? Yes, we only have two slides operating to reduce noise levels (Falling Rapids & Drag Race)
